Maundy Thursday In London

The afternoon was bright and warm, so I went over to Waterlow Park, had some tea at the Lauderdale House, then took a stroll around the park to see what I could see.

Your flowers are almost as pretty as Texas bluebonnets! We will be driving to Austin tomorrow from the Houston area and expect to see a lot of wildflowers, especially bluebonnets, along the way. And, we did miss you. I'm glad you are feeling better. My YK ended up with costocondritis, as a result of being on crutches for a couple of months! (I'll let you all look it up if you're interested)

Costcocondritis: Isn't that an inflammation one gets from carrying too many bulk packages out of giant warehouse supermarkets?

That's costcocondritis as opposed to costocondritus. I think, though, that the example you give could actually cause both conditions.

It's always about weather with you, Schmutz. It will be in the 90s here, by the way.

My friend who is doing some activist work in D.C. said that they woke up to 2 inches of snow this morning.

I have friends who were doing a 24 hour bicycle ride around D.C. that started yesterday morning. I haven't heard a report yet.

I hate to encourage Schmutz's obsession with weather, but we just returned from a very chilly weekend in Austin, TX. It started out beautifully on Friday, as we viewed acres and acres of wildflowers on our drive there. However, by Saturday night it was sleeting! Not what you'd expect for Easter weekend in Texas!
