New doohickeys

Over to the side, I've added a short sentence on what this blog is all about (which I hope will make us more visible to the search engines). I've also added a couple of new links: A link to Anarctic explorer Ben Saunders, whose teammate I met last night (yeah, it's not directly related to living in London, but it's neat); and a direct link to the UK Met office for official weather observations and forecasts (Weather Pixie is a nice graphical illustration, but it usually fails to note when it's overcast--for instance, as I write now, it is indicating sunny skies in London when it most assuredly is overcast).
