Friday Viewblogging

View from the Archway Bridge.

The rocket-ship shaped building on the far left is the Gherkin, an ambitious building with a troubled past. The dome on the far right is St. Paul's Cathedral.

This is from last Friday. The sky always looks like that, though.

What are those things in the sky, anyway?

Rays of sunshine.

I know rays of sunshine (after 129 consecutive days of only sunshine) and those, sir, are not rays of sunshine.

No, you get blasts of sunshine. We get rays.

I would like to know why next to your name there is a picture of people with foil wrapped around their heads. Are they pretending to be chocolate kisses?

That's pretty funny O.K. They are actually trying to make sure the aliens don't read their minds. What with the NSA and all, I've taken to wearing a foil hat any time I'm involved in my subversive activities.

I can't imagine who would want to read your mind, MK.

OK,

That scene is from the movie "Signs." It's a picture of Joaquin Phoenix (most recently, Johnny Cash), playing Mel Gibson's younger brother, with the children who play Mel Gibson's kids. The upshot of this is that they all don these hats to keep the aliens from reading their minds.

And it works.

I'm with you O.K., I don't think there's much of note to read in my mind, either. However, the NSA thinks the emails and telephone calls of those of my ilk are rather interesting. The next step may be mind reading! Outer space aliens don't scare me one bit.
