Things That Are Familiar To Me Now
The theme song from Hollyoaks, but only because it comes on after the Simpsons. I swear I've never watched an episode.
And speaking of Channel 4 programs ...
Things that I get now: Tony Slattery's jokes on the original "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"

Which one is Tony Slattery? There's no picture on imdb. What's Hollyoaks about, anyway?
Mrs. W has compared Hollyoaks to Melrose Place in that it's a soap opera about young beautiful people. We couldn't actually watch an episode anyway because they use the hip young people accents with all the glottal stops.
Tony Slattery, as he looked back in those days.
Oh! That's Tony. I've always liked him, but I don't get some of his jokes. I guess I need to live a couple of years in London to do that.
My daughter used to watch Hollyoaks (which I was glad of, since it showed mothers in a bad light and made me look actually very good) and when she left I promised to watch it for her. I could easily see that it would become an addiction, so after they killed off the anorexic girl and exposed the gay lovers, I quit.
Honest. I hardly ever watch it anymore. Did you know it comes on, like, five times each night?!
It's hard to avoid it, but I'm never quite sure if it's a rerun.
