Howdy from Houston

Howdy, y'all! So I have made my first trip back to the States since moving abroad. And you know what? It was harder to get back into this country than it was to get into the UK. Seriously.

While I didn't get Chipotle, I did get Tex-Mex while I was here. Mmm good!

Our experience has also been that it is harder to get back in to this country than to leave it. We could tell you tales but it would be boring.

I'm sure Mrs. W. is a great guest and that her hosts enjoyed her visit. It's a great time of year to be in Texas!

Chipotle powder is available by mail from Pendery's of Fort Worth, along with incomparable Puebla chilis.
Personally I'm jonesing for Trappey's black beans. I'm bringing a case when I come back.
