It's Smiling At Me, The Answer
Congratulations to Oldest Kid, the resident foodie of AA's readers, for getting two out of three, sort of (something tells me OK had help). The hair was oxen meat (and an ox is just a bull with an education), the face was truffle oil, and the head was whipped cauliflower.

Smitty, you didn't actually eat that, did you? Congratulations OK.
I did not have any help! I just kept trying to think what was brown and came from underground! I almost guessed oxen meat, but that sounded too gross, so I just went with meat. And, who would have thought of whipping cauliflower? I thought grits was a good guess! Did it taste good?
OK didn't get any help. He or she is just smart!
I should get some credit for my answer, too, although I should have also written that some animal was exploited (in finding the truffles).
I nosed it, but didn't eat. No, that's a lie. I ate it. The oxen meat tasted just like shredded beef, although something tells me that you might not want a sirloin taken from an ox.
Humans can find truffles too, BTW. We're just not naturals.
