Overheard at the hair salon this morning, a woman's description of shoe shopping in the States during a recent holiday.

I'm assuming that she means shoes here are cheaper than the shoes in the country of Turkey, not that shoes are cheaper here than a large stuffed holiday main course.

I hope that's what she meant. Turkeys aren't exactly something you can recommend in Great Britain right now.
