The sun sets way too early.
That's better ...
... because it's better to light a single snowman than curse the darkness.
We're in that part of the year again, when the sun doesn't rise until after 8 and sets before 4. It's nice to see the merchants lighting up our streets during the dark months.

Makes me hanker for good ol' 45 degrees north, where the sun sets only fractionally later.
Wifey drives me nuts by refusing to turn on the overhead light in the living room. I'm finally figuring out why I'm drawn to the fully-lit kitchen ...

Nice photos! Just remember the summer when the sun rarely sets at all.
I like the first picture with the single lighted window. And our days have been dreary, too, with low-hanging clouds and piles of melting snow.
I was feeling bad about our sun setting at 5:30 and rising around 7:00, but now I guess I should count my blessings! Our morning runs have been pretty dark lately.
