Cliff Notes version: I fed wasabi to a pigeon. It took a couple pecks at it and went away.

Longer version: I was down shopping at the electronics stores on Tottenham Court Road. It was lunchtime, so I popped into a carryout sushi place and decided to eat in a little corner park. Pigeons were hanging around all the people who happened to have the same idea I did. As I squeezed wasabi into my soy sauce, I wondered if there was any food a pigeon wouldn't eat. Kismet: I realized I wouldn't be eating all my wasabi; there was leftover in the little packet; and a pigeon was skulking underneath my bench. I tossed the packet on the ground. The pigeon came around, took a peck, and flew backwards in surprise. It approached the wasabi again, took a couple more pecks, and then walked away, and stayed away.

I happen to know that ducks won't
eat olives. Don't ask me how, I
just know.
